A Simple Diary For My Angel Attire

♥ 09/04/10: AoD body & Incoming doll: Momoko AoD body is excellent: the figure, the poseability. Awesome!!! Yet, the big bust of it gave me trouble making a good fit outfit for my Nagi. I'm reviewing the pattern last night and I think I will try it again today.

Really, flat bust is easier (in my opinion) to make clothes. I want one someday and thinking about it. I still have another head: Blueberry by AE. I will give her a body someday. I'm just still thinking: which one. May be dollmore or luts...

Finally, I'm able to buy my first Momoko. I'm so happy. She's still on the way and I will take some pics of hers. This doll I purchased is my number 1 faved Momoko...

03/02/10 : Doll outfit selling plan ==> POSTPONED (TxT) Hmm...i don't only sew doll clothes but also bags, my own clothes, etc, etc. So, I guess I pass my goal to start selling doll outfit in January. Moreover, the body I have now is Mini Slim AE which is not kind of ordinary one. I just layaway an AoD body because it's more general in size. Once after it's done. I'll just explore more about bjd clothes. Thus, I will have 2 option in my store: Mini Slim and Ordinary Body...(^_^)

13/01/10 : Doll outfit selling plan

A few days ago, I revised my doll clothes design batch. I need to adjust them with the character of my doll, rather than just designing per-theme like I used to. I think it's a little bit different.

In human clothing, I can create designs per-theme. People are a lot in terms of number (quantity). So, I believe, some of them might like it. BUT, in doll world, doll isn't that many. Moreover, each brand, each body type, has its own measurement. Not all are exchangeable. That's why, first: I must create designs per-character. It will also be more attractive to present it in pics because the character of the doll is strengthen and underlined with the clothing.

Therefore, since i hadn't created the character for Nabi, before revision, I first created a character for my Pyoo Nabi and then I designed some basic design. This basic can also be used by other doll with quite similar measurement. The owner can mismatch the pieces because my plan is to sell per piece, not per-style...unless, there's a request for that (^.^)'''.

I was having a doubt to start it earlier this year because I wonder, how perfect is perfect. Nothing is perfect! I mean, sometimes, I read the critiques given to others as well as me, i feel like, hmmm???? How long should I make things perfect til I'm able to sell it? People gave compliment, though but sometimes, add this, add that...do this, do that...I'm kind of (@.@)...not that I can't do that but WHEN the cut-line on which I can start selling if there's always something missing?

In real human clothing, it's like, 'oh, you can make short sleeves shirt, why not make long one?' or 'why not using this fabric so it would be like...etc, etc, etc, etc'...You know...endless. I believe that even people who can make a simple shirt well can accept custom or sell their own sewn-shirt.

I also understand that some people want cheap price but demand high quality. Ehem (-.-). I also read that a person gave an advice to other member to sell her work lower than market and said that no one purchase if it's more than market. Yet, she also said that she would purchase it if it can fit her not-so-expensive doll. I don't mind about not-so-expensive stuff, including doll, but I do mind about not-so-'expensive attitude/manner...Yes, one who  doesn't appreciate people's work but demands high quality (>.>)'''. Come on

After reading some advices, I see that I'm not the only one who thinks that nothing is perfect. People develop themselves each time. Even so, some people still give negative critique for no reason about things but I'll remember the compliment and positive critique part (^v^).

♥ 31/12/09 : I love the first fitting I just tested my second pants version. Hmm...I like the first fitting: the red checker one. What do you think? (Check out the bigger pic in the Angels Room

♥ 27/12/09 : Compromising The Design If it was for human, I'm sure I can handle it well without too much difficulty but since the design is for the doll (>.>)'''''...Yeah, you can see my expression there. Haha...I compromise the design a little bit.

I think I will redo Nabi's white-chiffon blouse some time within short time. I need to think more about tricking the neckline as well as using chiffon ribbon for the frill instead of making it. Yes, baby, I made that chiffon frill that's why it looks a little bit odd (^o^). The hem is still a little bit wide...(^o^)'''''. Well, to be honest, I didn't even do this in my real cloth. In my real cloth, I make frill by 'special serger' (I went to the shop who can do that for me because I don't have that kind of machine). We call it here: Neci or woolsoom (soom=seam).

I don't know whether compromising the design is allowed or not but since it's my design, hell yeah, it's allowed! (^_^) . Even so, I'm still going to learn not to compromise too much. And the learning journey continues (^o^)/.

♥ 18/12/09 : Washing Before Using After got a little bit stain on my doll, I now wash my project before trying on her. Until I got my magic eraser at home, I won't do the other way around.

I purchased 10 magic sponge eraser for about 6-7USD at ebay. I only hope that my custom still pass those erasers to me. Sometimes, if they assume it's for reselling purpose, they will calculate the value themselves. (-.-)'''. It will happen especially when they think,"low price but quantity is 'a lot'?". I actually only need 1 or 2 but apparently the price for 2 sponge in other store is too high and it's from USA, too. It's too far. I prefer to buy from Asia if I can, especially for stuff I really need. I purchased 1 stuff from UK once. I needed badly but it didn't arrive (TxT).

I'm drying my doll pants now under the sun (^.^)'''. I hope tonight I can try it on my doll and take some photos.

♥ 16/12/09: Journey to the Angel Attire Collection If you follow me, you'll see that I've been attempting to learn  sewing doll clothes. Yes, I'm preparing myself for 'launching' my own collection of BJD clothes.

To be honest, I'm still confused (^o^)'. First, I thought of making an 'anime' style of clothes. You know...a little bit fancy but along the learning process, somehow, I just want to dress up my doll like 'human'. Not much of ribbon or such a Lolita or Fancy style. It's very awesome for my eyes to see a pretty BJD doll is wearing a cloth with style.

Even so, it doesn't mean I won't go for fancy one day. Each style and design is challenging (^.<).

So far, it's still a project but my plan, by 2010, I'll be ready to make something for listing. Mostly will use basic styles. It reminds me when learning to sew for the first time, though (^.^). I was trying to develop many styles using 1 basic pattern (^.^). It will be like that, too. Gradually, I'll be launching more and more and more unique style.
